Coven of the Burning Waters is an eclectic coven with ten members, formed in 1996 and located in the lovely mountains of the New River Valley in Virginia. We meet several times a month for study, fellowship, and celebration. We also hold open Sabbats, open moon rituals, and the occasional study group.  If you are interested in our study group, please click here. If you want to attend one of our open rituals, please email us at coven@burningwaters.com.  If you would like a little better idea of how we work together and our ritual atmosphere, you can read our Statement of Purpose and Rules of the Circle.

Our emphasis as a group is on study, healing, the environment, and community service. Each member has a different focus in personal work, but we all enjoy sharing and learning from each other.

We decided to create these web pages as an educational and outreach project, and to provide another networking resource. Sometimes it's difficult to locate other pagans in your area, so we decided to provide a means by which we can find each other!  Besides, the founding members met through the web, and we hope to return the favor.

We're always interested in talking with and meeting other pagans in our area. If you have any questions, comments (other than that we're going to Hell -- we've heard that one already!), etc., write to us. We have also started an e-mail discussion list for pagans in southwest Virginia and southern West Virginia. If you would like to read more about it or join, please click here.
